Default Neon Injectors questions.

Going out to the Junkyard on Wednesday, going to try to find some 703 injectors. What vehicles should I look for, and will I need to adjust the fuel map?
My brother seems to believe you absolutely will need to adjust something for it to work, and he is a WyoTecher so i don't doubt his knowledge.

(unhook your neg and pos terminals, hold them together for 30 seconds. Reattach them to the battery. Turn your ignition to "on", turn headlights on then off. Turn ignition off), then it will take 50 start ups for the ECU to relearn the fuel trim levels.

im doing the same thing sext sat. hope this helps you out

Why do people feel they need to do this?

green goblin - nice copy/paste job from my post in jimbo's thread. Without the first part you can remove the parenthesis though. Just giving you a hard time. That's why we're here, to pass on knowledge.

ender - upgrading to the 703's (91-98 XJ's) or the 784's (99-01 XJ's) usually results in a smoother idle, better throttle response, and in some cases, slightly better mpg (though this one is actually pretty rare if the stock injectors were still clean). For the cost, I think it's a pretty good mod to do. If you want to do it but can't find the injectors you need, let me know. The pick n pull by me always has a ton of 'em.

Turn ignition to ON or run, or ACC? (one click forward, two clicks, or one back)
Thank you for the info!
Also, where could I pick up some new o-rings for them, cheap insurance as engine fires are bad.

You can get the o-rings anywhere. NAPA, Autozone, etc..

You always lube o-rings on everything no ifs ands or buts, cause if you dont you can pull off chunck's of the o-rings, always lube them on anything!

Awesome, thank you for the help everyone! I will install them next weekend, so let them soak in solvent, then after install I will probably run seafoam with the gas. What would the average price be for two sets from a junkyard?
