Question needing input for buying xj

i am thinking of buying my buddys 96 classic but it needs a wiring harness installed and the drive train installed, there is no fluid in the motor curently. and the motor and harness is from a 92. both motors are 4.0. he is asking $600. you guys think it is worth is? it comes with some 20 inch rims on it though. i can sell them as soon as i get it though. i will try to get pick of it on here in the next day. just needing some input from other people.

Unless you're an experienced mechanic I wouldn't get it. and that seems like a high price for all the work it needs.

I agree with that. Put another $400 with that initial $600 you were going to spend and get one without the problems and drive it home.

IMO- I think the Electrical will give you more problems than this project is worth, not so much with the Mechanical...

If you could get it for free, i might just go for it. Honestly, for $1500 you could buy a very reliable XJ off of Craigslist. Something that wouldn't give you all kinds of troubles.

... unless for up for a challenge.
