I have searched various threads about switching my ir keyless entry over to a radio one. My only issue is not being able to locate a wiring diagram showing the wires labeled so i can match them up to the new unit. I have a 1996 XJ but i think they changed some of the wiring in 97 but not sure.

 

Hi i have the wiring diagrams for the 1997 cherokee i know the section you are looking for as mine is toast , my receiver is up the shoot, i am trying to find someone in the states to send me a matching reciever and transmitter, any how i will try and copy the wire diagram and post it regards Rob

 

Thanks...i have the ir receiver out if my jeep but my remote no longer works..I will post a picture of the receiver panel later if it is what you can use. They changed the keyless entry in 97 to one only the dealership can program from what i have read though.
