Hello, I have been enjoying my "new to me" 96 Cherokee for the last few months until it failed to start in the driveway one morning. I found that I had no spark, and did some online research looking for answers. The coil tests good according to my Chiltons, and it would appear that the Dist. pickup, Crank Pos. Sensor or the ECM would be the culprit. I checked the plug at the crank and distributor and had +5 volts on the Purp/white wire which seems correct, but I also had +5 volts on the Grey/Black wire at the Crank Pos Sensor plug as well. I thought the only hot wire at the CPS plug was supposed to be the Purp/White. Just wanted to get more info before I spent money on a new CPS ( seems like thats usually the main Ign problems with the Cherokee.

Thanks, Gary
