Just about done with the open cooling conversion on the 87 Cherokee. I’m using a spectra cu1193 rad as that’s what was most commonly recommended on other write ups and videos. During installation I noticed the fan sensor or temp sensor doesn’t fit the bung on the radiator. Never seen this on any of the videos I’ve seen all of them just screw right in. Wondering if I got a weird radiator or if anyone else has had the same issue? Is there an alternate sensor I can use that would fit this radiator?
another possibility is to use a thermostat housing and sensor from a 91 or newer model. If I go this route can the sensor be wired to the original wiring? I know the plugs are different so probably need to modify. I’m a bit confused tho because I’ve watched the bleepinjeep videos countless times and he advises to use a different type of switch that he wired into the relay via ground.
whats the best way to get this going? I’m almost there just need couple things figured out
