Default Sensor above bottom hose?

Working on a 1990 Cherokee Laredo 4.0. Fan blade got into the radiator so I got a new radiator from the pull a part today. I am trying to get this Jeep road worthy. It already had a 91 radiator with the radiator cap on top instead of the bottle. In my looking through the jeeps in the yard I was concentrating on making sure it had a radiator cap. Found one I though was right, bought it and put it in. I forgot all about the sensor just above the bottom hose. The new radiator does not have a place for this?
Water temp gauges still works so it's not that. Turned on the AC and the electric fan does not come on but several fuses are out due to other problems. Is it this sensor I am missing a place for used to turn on the electric fan?
Need some help and thank you for any

The sensor above the lower hose on the renix engine is for the electric fan. It is located on the thermostat housing on non-renix 4.0s. I put a later model thermostat housing and wired the sensor up when I switched to an open cooling system.

That is what I was doing is putting a new open cooling system on my 90. I just happened to grab a radiator that didn't have that sensor in the radiator I guess. So I guess I need to get a thermostat housing and wiring from the Jeep I got the radiator from. That are hard wire in a switch for the fan
Thanks for the answer

I think it would be from my meager experience. All I did was cross the two wires and make the fan come on with the ignition. Followed the wiring up to the second connector and that is where I made my jumper.
Every time I turn on the key the fan comes on.
I will leave it like this until I have a problem with it
