Need a Radiator
Just developed a leak on my 1999 classic. 170,000 mile's (leak appears to be coming from the passenger bottom side). Since the local napa dealer want's about $130 for a replacement, I'm also a tight **** and live in the middle of know were . I looked on E-bay and found a company out of CA called Aeon imports that have a OEM quality plastic / aluminium one for $55 with free shipping. Has anyone had any exsperience with this companys products. Any advice would greatly be recieved as I need to get her fixed but don't want to put a crappy product in for the sake of a few dollars. Ive had the old girl for 11 years now and would like to keep her for another 11 if I can.

If it were me.. and you do not want to save a few bucks... go to the local napa and get the one for 130 but that being said does it come with a warrenty? if so that would be enough for me to get one local... because if anything happens with that cheap one who would you call... or is it got damaged in shipping... you get what you pay for usually sad to say....... also do you have any rad shops that just deal in rads for your area...?

Not sure if the napa one comes with a warrenty or the manufacture, but will find out. The one from Aeon imports just has a 14 day or money back on it, but they do have 95.5% feed back for what that is worth. I know what you mean when you say you get what you paid for. My problem is I live miles from anywere and the town is about as big nat's bottom, heck Iv'e got to drive 25 miles just to get a six pack and the nearest Wally world is 50. There tends to be the local price and the out of towner price around here to, if you know what I mean (me being the out of towner). She is the only car I have so I don't have the option of taking the rad out first and considering if it can be fixed, but my quess is that due to milage it is probably time for a new one. Still hate to pay 130 though

You could always get one from a wrecking yard (probably $50 or less, call first to see if they got one and what they want for it), then take it to a local radiator shop to have it cleaned and presure tested. It would take a little more time, but it should save a few bucks.
What ever you do, don't trash your old radiator. Have it cleaned and repaired then stash it in the garage. You'll be ready if you ever have to replace it again.
