Exclamation need quick help with t-case

i need a new transfer case for 2001 jeep cherokee.i dont know what spline mine is, its stock, but i know its a np231.
i found one out of a '95, thats a np231 with a S.Y.E for $200 and it was rebuilt 300 miles ago.

my question is do i have to be worried about the spline count, would it be different. even if someone can tell me what the spline counts are would be nice.

the faster the help the better because id really like to jump on this deal in the morning if his case will work for me.

pretty sure if both Tcase's came from whatever trans you have you'll be fine. i know the earlier 87-91 AW4's used 21 spline and most everything after that used 23 spline
