Ive had a check engine light for a while now for a Evap leak. I sprayed around the engine last week with some carb cleaner but no luck finding it. On cooler days, sometimes I will get a high pitch whine? from the engine bay. Its only at low load, high vaccum. If I give it some gas it gets quieter til theres enough load and it goes away. Any ideas?

 

whine could be a worn throtle body. the leak could be any hose from the tank, or a bad gas cap.

 

Make sure your gas cap is on correctly.

Gas cap is tight I was thinkin bout replacing it since its cheap and easy to do. TB really? What wears out? Is it bad seals or the unit itself?

 

Your evap system has lines running back to the gas tank. Dig around back there. Did you check the charcoal cannister and its' lines?

 

Ill have to check those. Where is the charcoal canister?
