I don't know what year your box came out of and what changes may have been made, but on mine (1990) one one hose runs to the intake manifold in front of the throttle body and the other connects to the vacuum actuator that opens the preheat valve in the front of the air box. the pic is not the best but the yellow lines are the hoses and I think the one on the manifold is 3/16" on one end and 1/8" on the other, and the other is 1/8"

You can ignore the lines, they are for the little flapper at the front of the bottom half to operate a vacuum motor, those two are for a bi-metal valve, it operates by air temp,
on the vacuum fitting in the picture the red cap is the line that goes to the side closest to the engine

oh, didn't read all the way through trug's post he is right on

The renix jeeps have this stupid emissions harness that that goes directly in front, but if yours was bypassed that is fine, the line runs from the red cap directly to the closest fitting and the outer most one is connected to the vacuum motor on the front of the bottom half of the air box

ohhhhh, the one along the fender well hooks up here
I know that isn't stock but the lines are unchanged
that valve breather goes to the back and the one on the fender wraps under the tube to connect to it
