Need Help with rear passenger window not working
Not sure if anyone could shed some light on this problem, but if anyone has has any ideas I would appreciate it.,up until a few weeks ago the right rear passenge window was working fine i have replaced both switches so far, the one on the door itself and the front passenger switch I also disconnted the window motor and using one my 18 volt ryobi battery I tested it for functionality and it it works fine. The connetion to the door switch has 5 wires YL,DG,DG/WH,GY and GY/BLK. Using a probe i tested the YL wire for power and it is getting power, which is correct because I checked it against my other cherokee, i also took the switch out of my other cherokee and tried that, the window still doesn't work. one other thing I did do the bypass of the master window lock over a year ago. So i know there is power to switch and the the switch is new and motor works fine, however the small led on the switch is not illuminated. Does anyone know if the master could be causing the issue i know the DG/WH and GY/BLK go to the master.
Thanks, Any Help would be appreciated

I don't know that testing a motor on +12v circuit with +18v is an accurate way to verify that the motor works. Try using the battery direct to the motor to rule the motor as fine or bunk. Let us know how that worked.

I had the same problem about 4 years ago. Pass rear window didn't work. traced it to the master switch, which I took apart, cleaned and bent the little rockers for a better connection. Worked great! ....until it didn't again 6 mo later. Bought a new master switch and its been good ever since.

Because I have 2 Cherokees I decided to make a device that would allow me to power up a window that got stuck in the down postion I also use this for testing,I have used this before without issue, but having a 12 volt battery would be better.

Thanks for your input , based on your past experience with the same problem I'm going to order a new Master switch.

OTOH, while chasing a door lock issue I went ahead and bought a knockoff master switch for $25 (that turned out I didn't need) so if you guess wrong I suppose it's not a killer...

I read this story in Related Threads and did SMH, RME and every other acronym I could think of:

Instead of $900, I would have used Hefty bags and duct tape...

Thanks for the link, My wife reminded me that I already took apart the master switch once and soldered the terminals, so i think it's probably time to replace the master switch, $21.00 on Amazon, once I get it replaced I'll take the old one apart again and see if I can repair it for a spare

That is pretty cool. I use my little jump box with some alligator clips. Found a full set privacy glass that I wanted to swap onto my XJ. Worked pretty good in the boneyard for lowering the windows to be able to get at the torx to remove them.

I believe the part number for the left rear is this. 55154961AE.
I did find this after looking for sometime.
https://www.moparpartsworldwide.com/...154961AE-item/
Here is the thing. Since nobody seems to have one that I can find I am betting that their inventory is off. So you go to order it. They whack your card. Then you get an email
saying they don't have it in stock.
