Default need help quick

my transfer case (np 231) will go into 4 hi just before it reaches the stop postition(where it used to go into 4 hi). I hope i explained that right. my question is, which way/ how can i adjust the linkage so it will be how it was before(where it would engage 4 hi right when the shifter hit that stop)

I have a 242 so it may be a bit different but I had coated the shift linkage before removing the transfer case that way I had a mark to align everything back to. Maybe your adjustment has slipped and you can see the old mark on the rod. May or may not work for you but worth a crawl underneath the Heep.
