Just got rear ended at a stop light the other day and I had a couple problems I could use some advice on. It is a 2001 cherokee sport. The frame got bent a little at the crush points in the rear but other then the rear fender and bumber the car is still in good condition. Questions:

1. I now have a loud grinding/ squeaking noise coming from the aft drivers side wheel well or around that area. Not sure what it could be...I still have adequate clearence for the tire. The noise only happens when going over a bump or turning hard. any ideas would be appreciated and how to fix would be appreciated!

2. I cannot open the trunk anymore. The insurance company said they were able to get it open, but i cannot figure out how they did it or if they even were able to. I can't get the trunk to budge, even if i have some one hold the handle open from the outside and I push with my feet from the inside. Again any help would be awesome.

3. what is the most i should pay for a new stock bumber?

I don't know about where you are but in my state if someone rear ends you its automatically their fault and their insurance should pay to fix your car completely and fully without question.

 

I was wondering the same thing.
