need help with my drum brakes

Default need help with my drum brakes

so i get everything on it and put the drum back on. mash the brake piston back in and the drum still wont go on. it has taking me 3 hours and im still not done with one. can somebody please help me out?

Remove the lip in a brake lathe, or smooth it flat & chamfer a bit with a die grinder.

Ok, so the proper thing to do is to take it to a shop and get it measured out. If it'sd out of manufacturer's tolerances, then it needs to be replaced. If you don't have the time or the $$$, then by all means grind the lip down if it's not too extreme, but don't leave it as a permanent fix. Get new drums soon, preferably.

Drums are.pretty cheap these days.when.you look at the cost of having it turned vs. The.peace of mind you gt with a new one.
