I changed the oil in my Cherokee this morning and I saw this part was broken.

I don't know how or when it happened. But I haven't noticed anything wrong with the steering or the way it handles.

Obviously I am worried about it now that I've seen it but I have looked up diagrams and I can't find it.

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

We are looking at the front passenger tire here.

 

Sway bar link. Easy fix or you can take it off. Some like it without the sway bar.

You can get a pair from auto zone for about $30.

 

Thanks guys. I'll look for part now. Should I not drive it til I replace the part? I drove it about a mile each way to my sisters house to do the oil change. Felt nothing strange either way. So is it pk to say drive it to work tomorrow and repair it when I get home or do I have to bus it? Thanks

 

Safe to drive, If you drive safe. I have no sway bars at all on mine. It is to keep you from having excessive body roll. Keep it at legal limits and you will be fine.

 

Get rid of it if you wheel it!

 

Spend a $100 and pick up a set of JKS sway bar disconnects.

 

where can you find a set for 100$? I've only seen them listed for around 160$ + shipping.
