I have a 96 XJ Sport automatic, and my #2 fuse (which to my understanding goes to the stereo) keeps blowing. I tried to remove the stereo, and replace the fuse, and upon start up it immediately blew without a stereo hooked in. Any help would be much appreciated!

 

Try taking out the radio and look for a frayed wire that might be touching metal and grounding out. Also look at the Cigar lighter wires, they run on the same circuit and if there is a loose wire there that would do it. thats what happened with this guy.

A fuse that blows immediately is part of a circuit with a dead short (short to ground).
Find it, fix it.

 

Might also power dome light?

 

I'm gonna say a ground has a short
