I like that last one it looks the most like a factory one and it has 3 bolt holes not 2 like the one from JO and it will handle more weight than the hidden hitch plue its cheaper

so from what ive been seeing on other forums and things is that i want a hitch with the receiver that is mounted directly on the crossbar for clearance issues.
im not going to be towing anything too, too heavy. so im not sure which way to lean

go to your local auto parts store(advance auto probly) and tell them you need a fitted hitch for your year XJ and they'll order it for you. they're like $130 that way and you have it in like 2 days, and dont have to pay shipping, i got a reese class 3. make sure you tell them its specifically for an XJ, the universal ones they sell there wont line up.

I would get the one that is the strongest, which by looks is the 3rd one. I wouldn't use one that had 2 bolt holes. It also happens to be the cheapest of the three. Just my opinion of course.
yes will the difference on that other hitch is that you dont see the long bar you just see that bottom peice thus the name hidden hitch so they basicly both make you loose the same amount of clearence
heres a pic of a hidden hitch on the blue jeep on the right see how you can only see the main part not the whole thing? dont mind the spare tire carrier it was the only pic i could find lol
