Need help ASAP
I have a 89 cherokee it can start eaisly an can reeve it in park an neutral but once you put it in reverse or drive or 3-2 or 1 it will shut off when you let off the brake. Also this might help but since I got it 2 weeks ago you smell gas when you drive. Any ideas?

I have heard of loose engine to bell housing bolts causing the issue describe. The two move independently under load and the CPS moves away from the flywheel.

I have never heard of this one. But, It is a good one to keep in mind and it makes perfect sense. I'm glad you put this one up.
