NEED HELP
2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0
Long story short... I didn't have the time or resources to cut out the leaf springs so I took it in to someone who could. They burned through the floor on the right side and hit this cable. This is the cable that runs under the back seat on the right hand side. I've done a lot of work on this jeep myself, but I want to know what I'm getting myself into before I start.
- What cable is this?
- What will it cost?
- How much work am I looking at?

That is not a cable. It is a wiring harness. If I understand you correctly, it is the harness that runs from the front to the rear of the jeep. You will need a new one or you will be cutting and splicing alot of wires

Who taught those rookies how to use a torch? Thats nuts. If that were mine theybe getting an ear full. You wont know if the wiring is ok until you remove some loom and check every wire. What else got torched?

Wow that sucks.... if you can find a junkyard jeep of your same year you should be good, probably even plug and play.

If the someone you took it to is a business we'd be having a serious discussion on how they're going to make their screw up right at no cost to you!

I don't think it's wiring harness as most of the harness is in the cab. I traced some wires like that to the fuel pump. Should be power and guage wire... Just my input... Also, make them pay up. I would say lawyer up if they will not fix their mistake at their expense
