Help me if you can guys, I just got my new adj. track bar today and went to my friends at the nearby auto shop to borrow there pickle fork to remove the old track bar but there closed. Any other way to remove the tapered end of the track bar holding it onto the frame? I remember trying to get my stock steering stab. off without a pickle fork and it was a PIA.

i used a pickle fork and and put all my weight on it, it gave and i slammed my knee on the pavement haha. you might be able to get crafty and use the open end of a big wrench and a breaker bar.
have you tried 'sounding' it with a hammer? jack up the front end, use axle stands under the frame, and let the axle hang ( unloads the front suspension) hit the side of the ball joint a few hard, sharp blows with a ball pein hammer - concept is, it resonates, and the vibrations will (hopefully) shake the ball joint loose.
we do this all the time at the truck shop I work at: only thing it doesnt normally knock off are really old rusted ( or grooved into place) joints, and pitman arms. my track bar dropped out on the third hit when I replaced it last fall...
