Default bilstein valving

I'm getting ready to buy some Bilstein 5150's and was wondering what valving i should get. I don't know the difference's, I'm guessing firmess/softness. They have 225/70 and 170/60. Can someone school me on what they both mean?

You want the 225/70 the 170/60 is for running dual shocks and are softer. So you want the 225/70 for a single shock application. If memory serves that 225 should be 255...

The numbers explained. first number is lbs resistance to compressing and the second is lbs resistance to extension.

yes.

10" travel is ideal for a 4.5-5" lift

measure for your exact needs. don't forget to compensate for the stud to eye adapter you will need to run them (about an inch)

I work for a company called EAC Tuning. We specialize in german/import car parts, but we are authorized bilstein dealers. If you want me to do a price check on anything bilstein makes, pm me. I might be able to get you a nice deal. I know I had priced out the bilstein HDs for my XJ and they were right around 60 per corner.

the cherokee specific shocks are way too soft IMHO.. something like 140/45 valving.
