I have replaced my fuel pump and I even plugged it into the factory wiring harness to make sure it worked before I sealed it into the tank after I got the tank all strapped in I tried to start it and the pump didn't work so I would guess there is a problem in my wiring harness but I would do nearly anything to avoid having to gut my interior so I have two questions fist is does anyone have any idea about where to look for a potential causes for my problem secondly can I run new wires to the fuel pump going from the battery to a toggle to the pump more specifically would doing that burn up the fuel pump?

When you say the pump isn't working what do you mean? Is it cranking, but not starting? Can you hear the pump come on at all? You said it worked before you put it in, so it shouldn't be the wiring. If it is cranking and you can hear the pump come on (you may need someone else to turn the key to the on position while you listen underneath) then it may be a fuel delivery problem like a clogged fuel filter or clogged injectors.

Could be your fuel pump relay. It's located under the hood. You can swap it out with the one right beside it to do sone troubleshooting. If you have a good relay and it still does not work then yes you can run a new power wire to your fuel pump and put it on a toggle switch. I had to do that on an old jeep to get me home. Plus that is a heck of an antitheft device lol

Just to confirm. The fuel pump should energize and run for approximately 2 seconds with the key in the ON position, then turn off.
So yours isn't even doing this??
Absolutely verify the fuel pump relay. Should be near the firewall somewhere. And if swapping or replacing that doesn't help, use a meter to verify that the proper power is available in the socket that houses that relay.
You need to verify why and what part of the "control electronics" isn't working.

It cranks great with good spark there is no fuel pressure the pump is not turning on at all, there's good ground and if you move the wire going to the fuel pump it will power on for a little bit so I'm positive the problem is in the wiring I was asking if I can run a new line through a toggle will it kill the pump over time

You can run a new power wire through a toggle switch and to your fuel pump. It won't kill it over time unless you accidentally leave it run when you get out, that's probably not good. If you're going to do that why not run a power wire from your fuse box... That way it's a key on power and eliminate the toggle switch

The pump doesn't work at all when the key is in the on possession or trying to start I was on a creeper directly under the tank listing for it,specifically how would I wire the pump from the fuse box?
