i just got this jeep i just want some advice on what to do with it to make it run great, i'm new to the jeep family and really excited to start to work on it.

 

first up full fluid change in everything. then tune up the motor with new plugs and wires.

do you plan on lifting it?

 

tune up ,oil change , basic mant. first. get it to run good. wheel it like that first so you get to know how it handles.

 

I gave it a full tune up (spark plugs, wires etc) changed the oil, water pump, gave it a radiator flush, changed the fuel sensor,, lol so I've been on top of it since I got it, and yes I would really like to lift it once I'm finish doing all the important stuff.

 

peel the purple sport sticker off the side. that was my 1st upgrade! LOL

Sounds like a good start. I would buy the Chilton Jeep Manual and check all of the maintanence stuff. Might want to check the steering and track bar for any slop or wear, control arm bushings, rear main seal, brakes, exhaust manifold, tranny and t-case fluid and . . . whatever the manual brings up.

For the lift figure out what you want and do it once so you don't have to rebuild or spend more money in the long run.

 

My first purchase was a locker, but mine is going to sit from now until it's lifted and locked front and rear so...
