Default Need advice regarding rust

Okay so, Here's the rust I found under my Xj's carpet:

I need to know if this is going to cause any major problems in the near future. I just came into some money, and I'm wanting to fix some nonrelated stuff on the jeep, meaning parts I can put on another xj if I get one ever, but I'm not sure I want to invest anything into it if it's going to fall apart in the near future.

I don't know anyone who can weld, that things they can fix it, and I personally don't even have a large enough power box in my house to even attempt using a welder.

Ouch, That's bad. The floor pan is rusted off the top of the "frame" rails which is where the "frame" rails tie into the body.

The rails themselves look to be in decent shape but that rear "cargo floor" pan needs to be replaced. Since the rust is in a structural area welding is the only way to properly repair it.

I would definitely try to find someone who can weld, the pan itself only costs a little over $100, but a local body shop will likely charge $1,000-$2,000 for that work (and a dealer much more). If you can find a welder who does side jobs you might be able to get it done for a few hundred dollars.

So does quardatec. But it would probably be easier to just get a big flat sheet, make a cardboard template, cut it out of the metal, and weld that back in.
