Default need advice

!996 Jeep cherokee 4 wheel drive. I have drive train noise like it is maybe between gears. I had transmission shop install a rebuilt Jasper transmission and transfer case, the old ones were wore out and leaking. The noise was there before the replacement and it is still there now.

Going down the highway sometime it will just start making a wom, wom, wom noise, if I step on brake the noise will change, however the brakes are fine. I can stop and back up and move forward and get a pop and it will be better for a while but it always comes back later.

Any ideals?

Maybe a u joint, a hub bearing or a tire out of balance? Your issue can be a number of things. Anything else ever been replaced?

I have replaced lots of parts on it but nothing else on the drive train.

Check your driveshaft u-joints first.
