I am hoping that someone can solve something that's puzzled me ever since I bought my Cherokee in August. It's a 1995 Cherokee Country that was originally sold in Canada, but was later exported to Germany (which is where it is now). Next to the defrost switch, there is a switch with a green light above it. I have no idea what this is for. This is in the spot where you might have a fog light switch, but I don't have fog lights. The green light does not turn on when I flip the switch, and nothing seems to happen anywhere else. Before I pull the switch out and start tracing the wiring, does anyone know what this could control?

 

Could be the PO took the fog lights off before selling it? Are there holes in the front bumper where fogs would have mounted?

 

Yes, there are two holes for fog lights in the bumper. One has a black plastic plug in the hole, but the other is open. I can't remember if the bumper came with the holes from the factory. I helped my dad install fog lights on his 95 Cherokee back in 95-96, but I can't remember if we had to drill holes in the bumper.

 

Hopefully someone else will chime in soon. My 88 came with factory fogs. Look around and under the bumper and see if you can find any wiring.
