The best option in this situation is to by it back from them and get the 2300! Simple as that! Glad you were ok and that the damage was so minimal!

 

Ok, so yeahi keept my car and the money.. now I'm trying to fix it. I found a rear hatch out of a 2001 for 100 dlls. Would that fit my 99?

 

Any 97-01 hatch will work

Take the 2300, spend the 100 on the hatch, 40 on a tail light, and fix it.
take the remaining $2160 and hire a tutor.


All the metal hatches should be the same from 97 - 01 so yes, it should fit. The only thing that might be different is the wiring, but its fine, you can reuse your wiring if you can get it in the gate.

Yeah right he had wheels, tires, a lift, everything on that jeep. why wouldnt he buy it back He had like 2500 and his old XJ was $400 to buy it back. You cant buy new tires for $500

 

Wish I'd have kept mine,found a mint 2wd 2 years later..Frankly it was depressing to look at in the garage.
