Ok. so I am new to this site, i started mainly because of this HUGE ANNOYING PROBLEM OF MINE..I was driving down the road, listening to music had the heater going and all of a sudden i put my left turn signal on to take a turn and everything cut off. no radio, heat, wipers, just cut out.. I checked the fuses and they are ok. so i took my meter out and checked if the fuses were getting power to them, and they are NOT getting any power at all. I am stumped but i do not know too much about my jeep. I am only 17 years old.. this is my first vehicle but i LOVE jeep Cherokees they are better then wranglers in my opinion. First off welcome to CF, and sorry about the mishaps, now considering you know you're not getting power into the fuse box, and it's more than just one electrical component, I would start by looking at the battery and all of the main cables (grounds and hots) clean the battery terminals while you're at it, also check the underhood fuse panel....My guess is one of those is the culprit.

Report back with any of your findings and we can help narrow it down and or point you in the right direction!

well, i was looking in the hood. there is no fuse box in my hood, only fusible links. but me and my dad were looking around at electrical layouts, and think the problem may be in the ignition switch. everything that is not working is tied into the ignition switch.

HAHAHA ok, so me and my dad were really looking to this schematic layout of the electrical system. my dad is an a/c technician so he really understood it (thank god because i didnt) we got into the dash, found our brown wire then saw the connections were completely corroded causing a bad connection.. we put a new wire and connection in, and everything is working again! WOOHOOOO nothing is better then a working jeep
