Yeah and I was gonna say you thrifty guys saving all that dough on not re-gearing can just plan on putting it right in the gas tank. So, good call.
No joke, right? The only thing that will fight the rolling resistance of the added weight of the tires is a gear swap. I've found 4X4 XJ's with 2.5's at the junkyard that had 4.10's front and rear. 150 a pop (X2)= 300.00 for your R&P swap. Try taking ONE axle to a shop and have them change out the R&P for 300.00The junkyard can be your best friend.

ilost 1 to 2 miles a gallan...just me i guess but i dont mind spendin a few extra at the pump to save me a hassle or down time...without the proper tools to change a ring and pinion you can really mess up...pinion depth is my fear and backlash is no big deal i just rather save the money. lol thats just me though...this is comming from a guy who doesnt hardly ever keep track of mileage. and my dd only gets 18mpg so idk good point though...i was just making sure he knew he didnt HAVE to re gear for 31s i had 33s and didnt lose but 1 or 2 mpg
