Default My plan, let me know what you think

Alright well after much researching between pretty much every model of jeep i finally decided on the chassis i am going to purchase which will be an XJ.
Now before i lay it out it will be using it as a DD and weekend trail rig, Im not going to hit hard trails just some 3.0's maybe a little more challenging but not much more you know?. anyway im going to get a 4.5" RC lift with 31's or 32's i am still undecided on the tires and also the gears to regear it.
After that i will be getting a Steel front winch mount bumper along with a steal rear swing away tire carrier/bumper combo, i also want to add a roof rack to it and an a few Off road lights here and there you know?. Oh and well with the tires also comes noew wheels. Im thinking about 15x8's with 3.75 BS?.
Oh as far as the year goes im looking for pretty much anything above a 90 model but i would like some direction on this too like which ones are better or whatnot.
Let me know if that sounds good to guys and give some opinions on what to do and which items to get also anything else i should add too the XJ. Thanks in advance guys!

sounds good, but those bumpers weigh some poundage so be ready for that when u put them on, they may bring the height down a little, maybe. but it sounds like a good trail rig, why 90 and up, you dont like MY xj? just messin

Your plan sounds pretty air tight, Bro. I STRONGLY recommend going with a (91-95) 4.0 HO XJ.

ok yes thats what i meant to put down was the 91-94 after i was searching around.. As for the bumper yea i kinda figured they would weigh a little more so im gonna buy some 1" spacers and then after the bumpers are on see how much it brings me down and install them if need be you know? it was either that or get some normal steel bumpers with the hitch reciever on the front and just make a winch plate that i can slide in the front hitch mount for forward apps and in the rear hitch mount for rear apps you know? thats just a little brainstorm i had, oh that also means putting the spare on the roof rack too since i have it.
Also let me know on what gears i should get for those two size tires i mentioned (31's or 32's). Thanks guys

4.10:1 gears are perfect for 31s and 32s.

I have 4.56 gears with my 32s but, I planned ahead when doing my gears. I will be installing 33s in a couple of months. 4.56 is a tad too low for 32s and definitely too low for 31s.

i never regeared my 96 it had the ho 4.0 they usually have the torque (225lbs) to pull up to 33s with stock gears. i never had a problem....and i wheeled it hard. saves around a grand or so that could go a long way maybe winch...just my opinion.

mine has stock gearing and 32s, and its just as peppy.. If you go with a new exhaust, its still better than stock with big tires and no new gears

ok ok. also as for the winch i can get a 9000lb winch for 170 so im not worried about that aspect. as for gears i guess i can just lift and and put the tires on then drive it and see how it feels you know.

See how if pulls first then if it don't pull to your liking regear that way you save a little money out the gate.
