My Jeep Keeps Killing The Battery
For some reason my 89' Cherokee is draining the battery. I replaced the old one thinking it was no good (which it was probly shot) but maybe a month later now and I go to start it to go to school and it just clicks at me. I noticed something wasnt right Saturday when I went to the store. I go to start it after getting a few things and it turns over twice then clicks at me I released the key and tried again it just clicks this time so again I let off and try again this time it starts up. Sunday I had no problems with it and then today it wont start even with a jump box on it. Any idea whats causing this issue?

Sounds like you have a altenator going bad or bad. Is your battery light on. Could also try cleaning the cable end or replacing them too

T only dies when its left sitting for a while no lights r on while driving runs fine and I can pull the possitive cable off while its running and it doesnt shut down so I think the alternator is fine. It may be my cables cuz my possitive cable is exposed alot like the rubber is missing in places so ill try replacing it.

Clean up the contacts and all your grounds, make sure your battery has a full charge on it. (if the cables are bad it may not get consistent charging.) If everything is clean and it still dies on you, there might be a draw. Good luck finding that. If that's the case I'd just install a kill switch and call it a day.
