ummmm so you are gonna tell someone with no expieriance to wet sand and buff his whole truck.. you don't like this kid do you? yeah it'll give better than it was before results provided he doesn't destroy the paint... hand rubbing will not bring shine back after sanding with 3000

This is false, and wet sanding is WAYYYYYYYYYY overboard for something as easy to remove as spray paint.

Look, if you're afraid of using chemicals, just go buy a clay bar.

However, if you want to trust the body shop guys and the detailer in this thread, just get some Prep Solvent and wipe it right off. I use the crap EVERY SINGLE DAY at work and it will not harm factory paint, unless you have no clear coat.

Would gas work? And just wiping it off? Just a thought

You could leave it on there and wear it like a badge of honor.

I get a lot of graffiti here on vans I work on.
Best thing for me so far has been DT-5 Virgin Lacquer Thinner.
Depending how heavy the paint is applied will be the time you scrub it with a cloth towel.

when you get that decal from me that you ordered on there it will draw some attention away from that. i been there. my best friend broke it off with his ex. we hid his truck and went out of town. when we got back she had painted mine because she knew i was with him. i took her to court. this was on a 79 for lariat that i dumped about 12k in. paint was about 3 mths old at the time

You might try and locate a product,Dorado Fix 1400..Its for graffiti and paint overspray..I've seen demos where the guy would use spray paint on his own car and this stuff cleaned it right off..

Sure it will. I've done it several hundred times.

It's not the best way to remove spray paint from your car, though. Use a mild solvent like one of the lacquer thinners suggested. Then wash with dish soap which will do a better job of removing ALL of the solvents than car wash soap. Follow up with a clay bar to get the last little bits of left behind paint on the body, trim, and glass, then wax.
