my jeep finally died
my tranny finally bit the bullet today. I was able to make it home but now all my car does is rev the engine, but no movement. Someone is picking her up this week to be torn apart for their jeep. I rebuilt the motor, and she had a good run. This will be my last post, since I'm purchasing a 2002 liberty this weekend. I love the forum and I appreciate everyones advice. Thanks everyone for the help and good luck on your xj's!

it's not like I wouldn't like another cherokee,but the liberty just seems like something more reliable and more of a family car now that I'm now a family man. If I got another xj, I would be tempted to lift her but I just gotta settle down

Rather than a liberty at least get a grand cherokee...my dad just got one, much better than the liberty imo. Anyway, sorry about the xj

as a liberty owner...id advise against it. 
especially if you have kid(s) they are very cramped. We have two kids in car seats. and with the stroller in the trunk there is no room for anything else. putting groceries in the back is like playing tetris trying to find a spot to stuff a bag.
I wish she would have bought the Grand I was showing her....
