Sounds like the same thing that happened to my wife 94. Sounds like the camshaft position sensor. It controls the fuel injectors telling it which ones to spray. When the sensor goes bad, no spray. If you have fuel pressure and spark, and no fire, i'd replace it. It's located on the back of the block held on by two screws. Not hard to change, just a tight fit to get to.
