Well I finally did it... I bought this stereo head unit some time ago got the speakers installed and never got around to actually installing the head unit..Anyways finally did it today and all went well and damn does the system sound mucho better.. This kenwood has a setting where you can have it adjust the sound output to 5 1/4,6x9 or standard 6.5" speakers or just neutral which is for an amp setup..Anyways set to the 5.25" speakers it has a nice sound and those tiny little speakers can actually sound pretty decent..The handy remote is nice as well. Anyways at this point I am pretty darn happy with it. Works as I expected and sounds solid. For these old ears these fit just fine..I don't need any more fine tuning nor do I need a subwoofer...

Anyways headunit is the Kenwood MP438U with built in USB input up front to plug a thumb drive into..I have 2 8 gig ones full of mp3's now I can listen to anything I want anytime..
