I'm jealous that you have a black 2 door.

also digging the electrical tape on the coolant overflow tank.

Lol that's the strap to hold the bottle in place. But even with new hoses, new radiator, new thermostat and new overflow bottle itself, still somewhat swells a bit lol.

Ditch that cheap chinese cap on the bottle and put a Napa 703-1396 cap on it.

Very nice! I had an 89' two door until I sold it a couple years back. It was a great Jeep and I had zero problems with mine except rust in the drivers door from Midwest winter salt but I ordered a door from California and got it painted to match. 2 doors are much more rare to find.

Yeah Cruiser my dad was telling me that the cap could be part of the people and I've been replacing it once in a while but def a good idea for the napa cap. I've literally redone my whole coolant system so there should be no reason it should still swell right? Or is it just the nature of the beast?

But yeah on the other note McGuire, literally the second owner to this jeep and the guy before put an under coat on it when he got it so trees virtually no rust. Had a spot on the rocker but ground it down and redid it. Thing runs great, had some problems but the good thing is most of it was all minor parts.

As far as the swelling, not really. Unless of course, your bottle is quite old and fragile.

Now brings up a question, is it worth getting the conversion to get rid of the bottle and t off to a rad cap? My dad and I have been pondering this for months

If you need a radiator anyway, yes.
