2k installed. He's more creative at making mounts. And he offered his warm shop for us to do it in. So d30 4.56 and Detroit and rear matching.

That certainly makes more sense.....

$2k for a used locked 8.25 would be criminal.

Both saved to bookmarks. Thank you. Some of the best prices I've seen. Do I need a dropped pitman arm?
And friend just had twins so in this economy I feel very fine with helping him out, tax money anyways. Plus my 8 years are up and can have fun as a civilian now

I appreciate all of your info and help. Great ideas for the build. Decided on the sye and steering upgrade and the used Axel set up. Worse case I can try out the e locker or an air locker down the road. I will at least have a better platform to go from by that time.

You do have 3.07 gears with a manual not 3.55

As far as strength goes the D44 isn't all that much more than the C8.25. I stuck with my 8.25 and money was not the determining factor it was "Bang for the Buck" it wasn't there.

I had "New" ARB Lockers for the front and rear of mine and ended up trading with my son for his "New" Detroit Lockers for mine. Mine are going in this week I think with the new 4.56 gears the 3.55's sucked with my 33's. If you do in fact have 3.07's a gear change would be a must with the 33's.
