Default Is my bumper strong enought for a fishing rod holder

I want to mount a rod holder to the front bumper that holds six fishing rods. Is the bumper strong enought for this? I keep hearing how weak they are. Thanks Reagan

You see what's mounted to my front bumper? I'd say you're good.

No i wasnt kidding, this is the first cherokee ive owned and know very little about them. I keep hearing how weak the bumpers are. The set up im looking at holds the rods in a up right position and has a basket for a 32qt cooler, its not small

yes you should have no problem mounting it... they are relatively strong bumpers, so you shouldnt have a problem!

welcome to the internet, would you like fries with that?

5 minutes of reading this forum and you see all sorts of things mounted to the stock bumpers. Push bars, light bars, hidden winch set ups, tire racks etc. This person must have one hell of a cooler and rod/reel collection..

,,I carry my rods horizontily with lockable ski racks to keep from overhead rod tip damage. The 150 quart in the back and my 30 quart bait cooler inside that. The 6 pole system you described seemed like too much in the way problems for matainence as well as needing to drill your bumpers.Efficiency is my motto. My rod holder can be removed in 5 minutes and the rods will not bounce up and down while beach driving.,,To answer your Question,Yes,your bumber is strong enough.Name: jeep3.jpg
