Default My Build Sheet

Just picked up my first XJ, any insight is greatly appreciated. Already learned it had come with keyless entry, but seller didn't know. Was able to pickup a used remote and have the dealer program it. Seller also said it had a Dana 35 rear, but looking at this I don't think so. I'll visually verify later today.

Anything stick out that is better than normal, or better worded was an upgrade. Just curious....

Here's the picture of the rear, can you tell which axle?

Your sheet lists the 8.25 rear axle, not the Dana 35. The 8.25 is a better axle.

That's what I thought. :-)
Looks to be the 8.25 in the pic as well I think.

Good question, I'd assume so.
I'm pretty sure the engine has over heated in the past, as there's some burnt coolant residue here and there. I am losing some coolant, but there's an obvious drip from the radiator.

Maybe I should pull the valve cover and check for cracks. Any other way of checking?

Checked the oil, seemed normal, not milky. Tasted fine too :-P

I did notice this leak though....

do youre research on the head, might wanna replace it sooner than later as it will save the motor in the long run change oil frequently and send the oil in for analysis

I've been looking into it, looks like it will run 425 bones plus gaskets, etc. I noticed Clearwater sells another one for a bit more, that has intake of 2.02 and exhaust of 1.62. If I'm replacing the head, would it be worth spending a little bit more?

Yes replacement head would be a good idea you just never know when it's going to go... It will give you a piece of mind..
