Most of us who grew up on farms etc drove tractors at a very young age. My first was in the late 30s on a Farmall F12, at about 8 years old.
Stuff did happen in those days though, and many farmers were injured & some killed by their own equipment. And it still happens infrequently....

As times change we become more safety conscious I believe....

My dad told stories about me ramming a parked car with a Ford 8N at about that age

Uhhh we are on public forum. I would have done the same thing if i paid for a product and never received it and i would be very delighted to hear about the issue he has had with said vendor. he didn't blame the vendor for the accident he was just stating that had he received the product the damage could have been less or minimal. Now if he wants to bad mouth a vendor because he had a bad experience that is his right on here and us that are in the market for products want to know about all experiences we can. If you're a Mod you might want to shoot him a pm if he is really being inappropriate about the issue and warn him that way but a rude statement like that should have stayed untyped and in your mind. Have a good day.

Driving a tractor at age 9 is a lot different than a Jeep with family members in it. I drove many tractors as a kid. Usually slow enough so if I was headed for something bad I could just turn it off or someone could jump on the drawbar and stop it. Usually there is only one person riding a tractor also, so I'd hardly say that compares.

come on guys, he was in a farmers field, not on city streets. many here have done the same thing at that age. what has this world come to? kids aren't allowed to use an axe, pocket knife, chainsaw or play tackle football anymore cause their parents think they might get hurt. geez, we never got hurt, and if we did, we shook it off and got right back on that horse.
hope he learns from his mistake and it makes him a better driver, now and in the future.

anyways, fender/header panel can be had cheap and is an easy fix.
lca mount is a bit trickier when the axle is still in the jeep, so if you can remove it, you will find it a lot easier.

hope you get your problem sorted out with the bumper issue, i know i'd start to get p issed at the 3 month mark. i'd just say fu,k em, and get another one from somewhere else or maybe make your own. then go after a refund and tell everyone on every 4x4 forum your experience. you're entitled to it.

This thread just reeks of SFB syndrome decision making......and then we post the results of our SFB decision making process on the 'net to tell the world. Does making safe decisions regarding family stop when the pavement turns to dirt?

I'm going to guess that SFB is a slightly more vulgar and censor-inducing way of saying poop for brains.

I have no issues with letting your son drive your car on your own private property. The only thing I see wrong with this is the 3 year old was in the car. Moms a grown *** adult, if she doesnt want to wear her seat belt that's her choice. But the 3 year old has no choice, you need to make those good choices for them.

And to add to this, maybe not allow the driving to be in a place where he could hit a tree. So if he does panic or hit the wrong pedal, there are no objects to hit.

Awesome story. This will be hilarious when the kid is 40 telling stories at the bar.

Without the bruises and nicks and dings we do not grow calluses.
I think it will be a great learning experience for your son to learn
body work and welding.

LOL, that acronim did not cross my mind.
Hard enough to keep up with IAC, PCM, MPG, with a BMFH.

Question is, who will be the first to step up and CLAIM they never had a lack of judgement of any sort ???

Since this thread is already a joke.......

Don't forget RCH!

I was lucky enough that my lack of judgement moments are mostly pre-Internet era. Only a handful are witnesses and they can be discredited easily!
