So, I have recently picked up a 95 cherokee sport. When I got it, the HVAC fan would not blow at all. I have had a few cherokees and started with checking the connections on the back of the HVAC control panel, and found a loose connection on the main wires to the back (not tot he fan speed controller). Fan started working, but only blew on speed setting 3, and barely blowing on all other settings. So I thought, ahh, a blower motor resistor issue as well. Put a new one in today and no joy - still only blows on fan speed #3 (oddly one down from highest speed). So, where should I go next - replace the blower motor itself, or replace the HVAC panel controller, or just the fan speed switch itself?

 

Can you spray a bit of contact cleaner into the fan speed dash switch?
