Default Multiple misfire = pcm failure?

Solved hard starting problem about a month ago with a Cardone reman PCM. 96 xj 4.0 has run great since. Last night, out of nowhere, it started running rough and throwing random misfire codes on all 6 cylinders. I’ve read the threads, I know there’s a million things that could be causing this, but since I so recently replaced the PCM i’m really tempted to look there first. Is it common for these things to work fine out of the box and fail a month later? Already reset, didn’t help.

I would highly suspect the "remanufactured" PCM too. I'm thinking depending on the reseller, remanufactured could mean anything from cleaned it up to tested it to see that it was working and sold it. Did it come with a warranty? If so, I'd call them as soon as possible. Good luck and make sure to update us.
