So the auto zone guy said this was the problem. I was on the phone ( boss) so did not see or catch the actual codes. It has been starting a little rough, usually catches on the second crank, but then runs fine. Not sure when the last tune up was done but i figured it would be good being i bought it off a chrysler mechanic, but who knows. it has 137k and I have only run it about 4k in over a year. it sits all day and i use to tool around in town at night or on weekend to not use my work van.

So where should I start? sounds like the coil packs and plugs would be good.
please make suggestions on brands or specific products to buy in replacing items. thanks guys.

 

Yeah, start with a set of plugs. They say that NGKs are the ticket for 00-01.

 

i'm getting the same code on my 96 because of a pesky vacuum leak. a tune up would be a good place to start on yours. if that doesn't help then you should look into the possibility of a vacuum leak
