Default mudding trip this weekend and Jeep wont start!!

i have a 96 xj and it will not start cranks over but will not fire, but however it will run for a bit if i spray carb cleaner in the TB ............ here is som e more info on it

changed the pickup coil in the distibuter,
changed cap and rotor same time,
tested the TPS its good,
im getting spark,
fuel WILL sqirt out of the fuel rail cap tester thinymabob,
load tested the battery, its good

so whats left is (my thoughts are) maybe the CPS or bad fuel pump, but with the key turned to the on position i can hear it whine but maybe its not geting enough pressure ( i dont know) or else the injectors are not opening up
any thoughts or ideas to help me out would be greatly appreiciated
thanks,

if it runs with a catalyst sprayed in the intake... it is likely fuel system related. See if you can rent a fuel pressure tester from a local auto parts store. Check the fuel pressure and fuel pressure drop off.
