Motor swap
ok the other day the motor went.... R.I.P. 4.0L
but anyway i found a motor and its goin for $200 the guy would sell me.... its the same motor but its out of a 96 not a high output just a regular... would that go together well with computer and all that fun stuff like that? because i have no idea id hate to buy it and i cant put it in...

Here's some messages BlueXj sent me when I did my 94 to 88 engine swap.
use the Renix head and manifolds and you will have little or no computer problems. Also retain the Renix CPS too.
Port shapes don't match well but most important the two types of throttle bodies are incompatible. The signals will just confuse the Renix computer It may start but will not accelerate or decelerate and idle would be irratic.
So it will work if you use the renix throttlebody and intake with a renix head.
