Motor running a little too hot?
check
water pump
fan clutch
radiator cap
fan shroud
thermostat
coolant quality
oil quality
radiator
flush out cooling system
With car off, and keys in hand. Try to spin the fan with a quick turn. It should move but maybe 1/4-1/2". If it moves more than that, it's bad, and that your problem.

If your only hitting 230 at a stop your fine imho. I usually get about 220ish if im stopped for like 10+ mins and it usually goes away as soon as i start moving again

I have seen engines seize, warp heads, etc after being shut off while overheating.
You need to do as advised and rebuild/replace the cooling system as has been recommended more than once in this thread.
Otherwise I believe you will be posting questions about why your head gasket blew right after you replaced your water pump.
No disrespect intended, but thinking/talking/posting about this is not going to resolve your overheating issue.

What part am I supposed to re-read......the part that says "I'm still overheating and all I have replaced the water pump"? The fan clutch "spin test" is weak at best, $35 buys a new one. The cooling system components are listed in post #32.....one bad one pulls the good ones down. Every owners manual I've read say "if overheating/steaming occurs, turn the motor off". Coolant temp will not rise from 210 to 240 when the motor is turned off, a whacked gauge may indicate so but actual coolant temp will only rise a few degrees and within a couple of minutes og the motor being turned off, coolant starts to cool.

Try relacing old parts with new, as suggested.
