Default Motor Mounts?

Is there a write up on how to change them? Specifically how to support the motor while changing.....I couldnt seem to find one.

Thanks!

Use a jack and a block of wood. Jack it up by the oil pan lighly. There is one bolt on the bottom of the motor mount and one on the top of it that connect it to the body. U might have to lube up the connecting screw and screw it all the way out. Just keep the engine level enough so it comes out easy. Happy fixing. Tell me how it goes.

ive replaced them with a hoist it required a large pry-bar, i replaced them with a jack for support which was much easier but both ways required a whole lot of patience. for the driver side motor mount i recomend removing the air box, lot more room to work with, i would remove the battery for the passenger side one

Thanks guys, all good info! I have to support from underneath since I dont have a hoist and was having trouble finding a spot other than the oil pan to hold the weight.

So ill pb blast the bolts, do one side at a time, use wood blocks for the pan, and i know to take out the battery and air box if I need more space.

Thanks again!

there is an X on the bottom of your oil pan if you center the jack and block of wood right in the middle of said X you will have even weight and will not hurt to oil pan. make sure the jeep is on level ground.
