If both engine mounts are squished but at opposite ends, I'll bet the trans mount is the issue.
Is there a way to visually determine if the trans mount is backwards? Or do I need to remove the cross brace to see?

You should be able to see it without removing anything. Can you crawl under there and take a picture of it? Best angle would be from the rear looking towards the front.

I will compare it to mine when I get home and see if that is it.

I didn't know there was a 2nd variation of x-member and trans mount (2000-01 specific vs 99 and older on the 4.0 and auto Trans platform) but this is some food for thought

Mine is using the same 4 mounting holes. I can’t tell if mine is backward or not.
With my luck it can’t be that simple of a solution haha.

Thanks for posting that older thread. I didn’t realize there was angle to the mount. Soooooo maybe it’s in backwards? Haha hopefully next week or over the weekend I can confirm.

Honestly, yours looks right.

Having only one mount not looking right, are you sure the frame rail (of the unibody) isnt bent on that side?

When you undid the xcase drop, did you loosen the mount to engine bolts and the mount to frame bolts to allow everything to center again. I will try to get a picture of mine as soon as i can
