You need injectors from a 95-97 Neon. All you need is the injectors because you have an integrated Fuel Pressure Regulator in your 96. Just grab the injectors, buy some new o-rings for them, and put them in. Then your good to go

No problem. Good luck on your hunt for injectors. And a little tip when removing your old fuel rail since it's pretty tight in there. When I pulled mine off, I squirted a little Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant in the holes on the manifold after trying to pull it off for like 10 minutes. After that, I gave it one hard yank and it came right out. You could also use Marvel Mystery Oil or something of the same consistency.

I guess you've never done this before. They're not screwed in. They are sandwiched in to the manifold by the fuel rail. I'm pretty sure it was 4 bolts that hold the fuel rail on. Then, you remove a few more the get that cable for the gas pedal out of the way. After that, you pull out the fuel rail and can remove the injectors. I'll go search around to see if I can find something for you to read up on. Give me a few minutes.

yea 4 bolts on the rail, and 3 bolts on the throttle cable bracket, that is the simple part, getting the injectors out of the manifold and the rail is a totally different thing, its a PITA

Well, I've searched and found nothing. A repair manual will give you the answers you need. But follow the instructions I gave you before and you shouldn't have a problem. The fuel rail and injectors are in there tight. That's why I recommended a little bit of lubricant in the holes of the intake manifold to help ease them out.

took me about 25 min to swap all 6... unhook negative battery cable. if you have an auxiliary battery too, pull the fuse out of it. first and last bolts on the fuel rail are studs. take the top nut off then the other nut. might have a wire bracket attached to it. take the two bolts in the middle. unhook throttle cables. take two bolts off the throttle cable bracket and set it to the left side. unplug injector harnesses. expect them to crack a bit because they are old, but be careful. DO NOT remove the injectors from the fuel rail. apply lubricant to the injector seat slots on the manifold. pull the fuel rail off. pivot it so that the injectors are facing you. take the cap off the pressure drain valve on the fuel rail and hold a soda CAN under it to drain it out. remove injector clips from the rail. remove the injectors one by one and replace as you go. do not forget to put the o-rings on the new injectors.

I would let out the pressure before pulling the rail. Also, it's wise to pop off the gas cap to relieve the pressure from the tank before you relieve it from the rail. If you don't, it'll take forever to stop flowing because of the pressure from the tank. Just a little hint you might find useful.
