More budget injector upgrade questions
Email the seller and find out the numbers that are on the sides of the injectors. The last 3 digits one of those numbers need to be either 700 or 710. If neither set of numbers ends with 700 or 710, they're not the correct ones. If you're interested, I do have a set of of the #700 "yellow sticks" I can sell you.
The numbers end with 710.
(0 280 155 710)
So they will work with a 4.0 ... good.
I actually ordered some Volve ones as well so I guess I'll sell these 710s if anyone wants em.

Ok, so I was interested in doing the 703 injector swap into my XJ. It may have took me to page 23 or so to get my questions answered, but I got it figured out. Thanks for the info guys!
Hoping to go to the junkyard here later on and pick up some 703's to drop in. Also be on the lookout for some XJs to pull parts off of. Will post results of the swap whenever I get it done.

EDIT: Oh, and I used the search button. Proof that it works.

Got 8 703 injector's from 2 different JY's today. Had to dig into 30 cars and vans to find them, but I got 'em! I pulled 4 from a '95 Neon and 4 from a '96 Stratus. Pretty frustrating that of 5 Neons at the first JY, only one had the right injectors, one had been pulled and the others were the wrong type. At the second JY, all 5 Neons had been stripped of fuel rods and injectors. I re-combed the Chrysler section and finally found a Stratus with them. Cleaning and installing them after I finish re-reading up. Thanks for putting all of this great info up for us!

6 bosch 703's installed tonight. Ruined one pintile cap, lost another. Had two spares from two extra injectors since I didn't pass up the last two in my second junker donor.
On the first crank, he started up quickly! Started him up a couple more times and he snaps on now. Beautiful!
Have to wait until tomorrow to drive around, but the computer shows a perfectly running XJ. Putting BG 44k in a tank of gas tomorrow and doing a 400 mile run. That should clean him out good.
This was pretty easy, finding the parts cheap not so much, but cleaning and installing them was a snap as far as these things go. Thanks for sharing so much info.
Here's my tip I picked up. I couldn't find the rebuild kits or basket filters locally, but one guy who worked at a parts shop used to rebuild injectors and he told me to take a 9v battery connector out of some old gadget, connect it to the injector via a splice into the connector and use a 9v battery to purge the injector with Sea Foam. Avoiding fumes and sparks, of course! Anyone hear of this trick? I just soaked them overnight and popped them in, being short on time and full of hope. :^)

I'd like to share my experience..
I live in Indonesia and I have a 96 cherokee limited (ABS & SRS airbag) with automatic AW4 transmission. it might be equivalent with 95 model in US or Australia.
It's a standard one. I only made modification for Taurus SHO MTX 95, put 120A ZJ alternator (charging problem after using Taurus Fan), Poweraid Throttle body spacer 1 inch. The ignition system is still standard, I use Mopar wires and champion spark plug as recommended on Service Manual. The tires are Michelin LTX A/T 235/75R15 installed on standard 5 spoke rims (final gear 3.55 : 1).
I learn a lot of good stuff from this forum and then inspire me to made some modification on Fuel system of my cherokee. I bought a set of used 960 Volvo injectors on ebay for $20 in good condition. It is a Bosch 0280155703 injectors. Had ultrasonic cleaning on the injectors and put Delphi FP14001 FPR with 49 psi on WOT.
First, I only install bosch 703 without FPR. I only get 0.2 MPG gain in town cruising and 0.5 MPG gain on suburb (siemens deka injectors gave me 10 MPG in town and 18 MPG suburb). But Engine is running smoother, better throttle response and easy starting. Exhaust gas smell different on idle. Gas in my country is not as good as in US. I use RON 88 gas in daily driving.
After install Delphi FPR, I got 11.3 MPG in town and 21.5 MPG suburb with 4 passenger (about 180 kg) and load about 400 kg. When I used RON 92 gas, I got 12.7 MPG in town and 22.6 MPG suburb..
I can't tell you about emission on WOT because I haven't perform gas analyzer (emission test).
Thanks for everybody that had shared their knowledge and experience in this forum.

It's really did a big help for me.. Thanks all.

would the 3hole injectors from a v8 2000 grandcherokee work as far as flow i ohmed them out and they are the same as what my single hole 4.0 injectors are?
Hey guys been a while since I looked at this thread.
Reading through thought I would make a point about the 0280155715 & 0280155849 injectors. These are for performance/ modified engines, i.e. hell ported valved and cam'd 4.0- maybe, or Strokers.
if you have a stock 4.0 with go fast goodies bolted on to it these injectors are to much. 703/784 is more than enough.
good luck with it.

Hey guys, I did a search, but couldn't find anything, if there already is something on this, my bad. I was curious what you thought about these injectors:
http://www.precisionautoinjectors.co...1&categoryId=3
I ordered these a few days ago and just got them in. In my infinite wisdom, I assumed they were the Neon injectors (703's) because of the video and they said they were upgrades to what I had. When I got them in, they didn't look right, so I called them up and was told that the ones I got are an upgrade and will give me a good spray pattern. I am skeptical because of the one hole, but will these ones give me the atomization that the Neon injectors will? The pictures are of the ones I was sent (P/N 4612402), and from what I understand, they are from a Dodge Caravan. Thanks for any help!

My Bosch data sheet shows them at 24.66lbs/hr at 43.5psi
